Bankruptcy filings in Orange County for January 2012 totaled 1,348. This is a 9.8% decline from 1,495 filings for January 2011. Los Angeles County saw a decline of 11.9% and Riverside/San Bernardino counties saw a decline of 23.4% when compare to last year's filings.
Despite this decline, the state of California still leads the nation in number of bankruptcy filings, with 1 out of every 6 bankruptcy filings coming from California!
